In the course of his career spanning over six decades, George A Olah, winner of the 1994 Nobel Prize for Chemistry, has been exceedingly prolific. The third volume of his selected papers contains some 140 scientific publications, lectures and articles of the sixth decade of his research. He shares inter alia his vision and pioneering work to help the development of a new field to replace fossil fuels through a viable chemical carbon cycle. It is based on chemical recycling of carbon dioxide to methanol as the basis of the “Methanol Economy” capable of substituting fossil fuels and as a means of energy storage, production of transportation fuels, and raw materials for essential chemicals.This volume will also serve as a helpful reference guide for researchers working in the areas of energy, fuels, synthetic or organometallic chemistry, as well as mechanistic studies.

Returns
